KROGER PROMOTES KEY EXECUTIVE to PRESIDENT of its KWIK SHOP CONVENIENCE STORES
CINCINNATI, Ohio, February 5, 2008 – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) recently named Jeff Parker President of its Kwik Shop convenience store division. Mr. Parker will oversee 131 Kwik Shop stores in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. The convenience store chain is based in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Mr. Parker previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Kwik Shop and was the Corporate Controller for Kroger’s convenience stores, Turkey Hill Dairy, and Supermarket Petroleum operations before joining Kwik Shop.
“Jeff brings extensive experience to his new position and we look forward to his significant contributions as we focus on making it even easier for customers to enjoy the benefits of shopping our convenience stores,” said Van Tarver, Vice President of Kroger’s Convenience Store division.
