Name & role within the business:

Sabrina Y. McGill, Owner/CEO

Name of business:

5-Star Meal Prep, LLC.

Industry:

Food Services

Brief description of the goods/services you provide:

We provide a variety of healthy meal plan options including, but not limited to Clean Meals, Vegetarian Meals, Pescatarian and or Keto Meals to individuals who are looking to enjoy home cooked meals for lunch.

Location & markets you serve:

Greater Cincinnati Area, but looking to expand to other to other states.  Our clientele consists primarily of women who are in corporate America who know how to cook, but generally do not have the time.  We also work closely with individuals who are trying to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle and are working closely with a trainer to achieve fitness goals.

Any notable achievements you are proud of (both personal & business):

I started this business 5 years ago with the hope of providing meal prep options for my family first; however, the business quickly took off and is currently preparing over 100 meals per week to the 5-Star Family.  We have been featured on Fox 19 News along with Denise Bryers, formerly of Bootcamp Cincinnati.

Is this your full-time job currently? If not, describe your current job and any tips/tricks on how you balance both:

I am currently working with Cincinnati Public Schools as a Primary Intervention Specialist and I am beginning my 27th year in the field of education next school year.  Balancing work and my passion are easy now that I am an empty nester.  I am intentional about scheduling self-care and exercise so that I am mentally and physically equipped to do both.

What drives your passion for this business?

What drives me is knowing that I am providing a service that supports the lifestyle of busy moms and for individuals who are driven to meet their weight loss goals.  I’m completely driven when positive results are shared.

Favorite small/local business you frequent:

Chroma Nail Salon, Uptown Salon and Spa, Cream+Sugar, Queen Royal Fitness (Charlestina Hyde, trainer), Terangas, Darou Salam African Restaurant, Grace+Grit, and Garden of Wellness

What are you most hoping to take away from this program?

I am really looking for ways to expand the business by learning to network, delegate, and acquire a business structure that can train others to create healthy meals for their families or community.  I would also like to figure out how to do this full time; however, I have been apprehensive because I need health benefits, especially as I grow older.

Anything else you’d like us to know about you?

I am open-minded, willing to learn and grow as a business owner.
